Last year I decided I would take control of my health and my weight (which was actually in the normal range, but I knew I could do better), and thanks to calorie counting and exercise, I lost over twenty pounds by Christmas. I achieved my goal and have learned a lot about nutrition and a healthy lifestyle in the process – and have also developed an interest in cooking. I have learned that it’s not all about calories – it’s what comprises the calories that matters. 

I started this blog as a way to keep track of my diet, but my ultimate plan is to post recipes, along with many visual aides (for some reason I really like taking pictures of my food… I know, it’s odd). I cook all kinds of food, but I gravitate toward that of the Asian variety, so I’m sure many of the recipes will lean in that direction.

Also… I’m terrible at writing “About” pages. Read the blog, it’ll probably be more interesting.
